Our story
Cloud Phone started from the belief that universal internet access can transform billions of lives while unlocking major business opportunities. With 2.7 billion people around the world lacking internet capabilities and countries sunsetting 2G networks, we saw an urgent need for innovation to provide internet access via low-cost devices. Cloud technology offered a way forward.
Achieving this has been an immense technical challenge and is the product of years of experience in cloud technology. It called for a fundamental rethink of how feature phones work, putting our cloud virtualization engine at the center. The upshot is an unprecedented, compelling experience on the cheapest hardware. We envision a future where any device at any price point can leverage the cloud to deliver high-quality internet and app services for underserved communities.
